Naturist holidays

English

An extraordinary climate for naturist holidays

The Mediterranean climate is known for its exceptional number of sunny days, ideal for naturist holidays. In the Aude department in Languedoc Roussillon, you will discover a region characterised by a great diversity of landscapes. The rocky slopes of the vineyards of Corbières swoop down to the shores of lakes and the Mediterranean. Facing the majestic Montagne d'Alaric, the Minervois, a patchwork of hills and scrubland, offers flavourful wines with a reputation going well beyond French borders.

A region rich in history

Picturesque sites of great natural beauty have served as a backdrop for history. Must-stops for visitors include the Abbey in Lagrasse, the “Citadelles du Vertige”, the Cathar castles of Peyrepertuse, the Château de Quéribus perched on its rocky outcrop, the medieval city of Carcassonne, Roman Narbonne and Corbières.

A lakeside campsite

So establishing naturist holidays in this wonderful region of France seemed a very natural idea. Operated by the Vacalians group since the 2014 season, the Clapotis naturist campsite spans more than 6 hectares of pine and poplar woods and has 230 pitches with electricity.
The campsite is surrounded by vineyards, with grapes used to make the famous Fitou wine, and has its own private beach with direct and privileged access to the La Palme Lake by which the campsite is based. This fantastic spot is swept by the sea winds and northerly Tramontane winds, to the delight of windsurfers and kitesurfers, whether beginners or experienced.

A family naturist camp

Here naturism is practised by families in an atmosphere of conviviality and sharing. At Clapotis, we are very careful to respect naturist values so that this wonderful site remains a haven for naturist lifestyles.

Some holidaymakers have been coming here for more than 35 years... a real love story!
